What NAET Is
NAET (Nambudripad’s Allergy Elimination Techniques) is an alternative therapy method developed by Dr. Devi Nambudripad. It combines elements from:
- Allopathic (conventional) medicine
- Oriental medicine
- Acupuncture or acupressure
- Chiropractic
- Kinesiology
- Nutrition
The core idea is that an allergy (or overreaction of the immune system) can be an energy imbalance in the body, rather than just a biochemical reaction. According to Dr. Nambudripad:
“An allergy is an adverse physical, physiological, and/or psychological response of an individual towards one or more substances (allergens).”
You interpret this as an immune system overreaction, particularly for delayed or masked reactions mediated by antibodies other than IgE.
How NAET Works
- The method aims to muscle testing and balance the overreactions to foods, environmental substances, or other triggers.
- It involves assessing energy imbalances in the body’s meridians (energy pathways) and using techniques like acupressure to remove blockages.
