Probiotics infantis, support for prevention and health of intestinal tract in babies and adults
I have a puppy and as any puppy or babies he got sick with gastroenteritis and boy I never seen something go down so quickly. Luckly he got a drip straight away and was taken care very quickly. Very upsetting to see him get ill and not be able to do anything. Same with babies and people who we love. But with new babies it is even scarier and you want to do the best you can as soon as you can. Well as I saw a research about canine probiotics I asked the vet if they give probiotics to the dogs. And well the vet answered “yes of course they work so well?” Well, there you are, so why the doctors in England suggest that for babies and children who gets gastroenteritis or as preventative? I came across more research about that and here is more about it:
Bifidus infantis seems to have more research and study that I thought there were around. One study was on the fact the intestinal colony of a baby depends on the mother natural vaginal ecosystem if natural and if they had a caesarean section then it is very important that the friendly bacteria are repopulated quite quickly after birth so that the good bacteria are colonized and repair and support the intestinal tract. This will lead to less gastroenteritis or intestinal upsets. Also the friendly bacteria have been study to reduce inflammation in the intestinal tract and therefore repair better even with any possible sensitivity to food as well as the immunity of the baby is higher if they have a healthy ecosystem from birth. Various strains have been study however for infantis bifidus infantis is the one for them. I have also seen a study which gave bifidus infantis to adults with irritable bowel diseases and it seems that there was a significant reduction in inflammation in the people who took them. In my experience it takes few months of taking the bifidus, even though you see the results very quickly, before the ecosystem is well established. Therefore I recommend that the bifidus infantis been taken for at least 3 months before stopping and then when there are lots of gastroenteritis kids or people around for prevention and if they need to take antibiotics for any reasons, as they will destroy the friendly bacteria too. This is valid also for the adults with the probiotics appropriate for them.
